Permission was given for Dense Star (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and for both On My Way (GB) and SHE’S SO NICE (IRE) to wear a red hood to the start.
The Starter reported that SHE’S SO NICE (IRE) was the subject of a third criteria failure.
K R Burke was informed that the filly could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the 4 furlong marker when Rosie Powers (FR), placed fifth, ridden by Hollie Doyle, interfered with the winner, Happy Romance (IRE), ridden by Sean Levey.
The interference was found to be accidental in that Rosie Powers (FR) edged slightly left- handed at the same time as Happy Romance (IRE) was running freely, causing Levey to have to take a slight check.
Approximately 1 furlong out, the rider of Mishal Star (IRE), placed fourth, was denied a clear run before having to switch right-handed to obtain clear running at the same time as Rosie Powers (FR), placed fifth, hung left-handed, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Hollie Doyle, the rider of Rosie Powers (FR), placed fifth, was suspended for 2 days for using her whip above the permitted level from approximately 1½ furlongs out.
Following the race, Nicola Currie reported that Silent Queen (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away and never travelling and Hollie Doyle reported that Rosie Powers (FR), placed fifth, hung badly left-handed in the straight.
