Curragh Sun, 15th Mar, 2026  Pollenca I expected that, to be honest. She had a nice run in Dundalk where she probably should have won, as she ran green and we decided to put her away for this race. I’d have been disappointed if she was beaten as she’s a nice filly. He got caught a bit further back than he wanted but was always going to win once she started rallying. I think she’s a nice filly and she’ll have stamina to stay a mile and maybe 1m2f. You could say she’d go for a Guineas trial but I think she’d be better at a mile. That seven furlongs is the least she wants and today’s (heavy) ground made the difference. The owners (Halley family) are sellers so I might not have her too long.

Dundalk Fri, 13th Mar, 2026  Flanker Jet He is probably fitter than the filly and six furlongs I think stretches the filly a little bit. She is free in front, so I think she needs to drop to five furlongs until she settles. She put her head down and came back, and I think she is going to improve a lot after that race. If they do go hard over six he comes home well.

Dundalk Fri, 23rd Jan, 2026  Flanker Jet He finished the race well. He has been working very well at home. Last time, he was a little bit quiet and today he has come in form. I'd say a mile will be no problem for him. He has a big stride and is a very sound horse. As the year goes on, I think he is going to improve again. Something like that (a nice handicap on the turf over seven furlongs or a mile).

Dundalk Fri, 7th Nov, 2025  Johnny's Oasis The biggest thing I think with this horse is that he just needs a fast pace. He needs the race to collapse. It was a bit of a muddling race (last week). He was drawn wide (tonight) and I didn't think he would win. I wasn't going to run him actually; he was so far out. I just told Colin to hunt away with him and that's all he did. If they go fast, he is laughing, and that is exactly what happened. It is great for Jimmy (Fairhurst, owner) and the boys. He was a dear breezer, he was an 80 grand breezer. He wasn't a cheap horse when we bought him and a little disappointing since we got him. He’s made up for a bit of lost time now. He'll be worth a few quid. I think he'll make into a nice hurdler during the summer next year. We will have to get a hurdle winner now very shortly!
