He’s only five, clear winded, great heart and stays forever — a brilliant horse. He has an entry in the Stayers Hurdle. He’s cool, doesn’t get overexcited so you wouldn’t rule it out. I think a better gallop would suit him, but he did well there off slow fractions. When he turned in I thought he would get swallowed up, but he’s not a slow horse either. He was a bit of a fool as a younger horse, but he’s grown and he’s matured. He does things easily at home, so it’s hard to know how good he’s going to be. He’s light-framed so we don’t kill him. Hopefully he’ll keep improving.

He is only a four-year-old so to beat those older horses was good and he hit the line strong, having been ridden out the back. David Kiely is a good loyal supporter of ours and has (prolific point-to-point winner) Rocky's Howya back on again this year so we're looking to him as well. this is the first horse I've had by him and being clear-winded and a beautiful mover, I wouldn't rule out buying another one by him.

I had been disappointed with a couple of my runners in the past few weeks but was happy with the way this fella worked during the week and told David (Kiely, owner) to have a few quid on him,. Shane gave him a great ride and he is a nice horse who jumps well. He is a half-brother to (six-time winner) The Little Yank, is a grand horse and we might send end up sending him to Doncaster (sales). His owner also had last year's champion point-to-pointer Rocky's Howya but he got a leg at the end of last year.
