Kilbeggan Fri, 17th May, 2024 Jasmin De Cotte On his first run over fences he was entitled to win. He jumped well and it helped having the rail after the last. He’s a young horse and is definitely better over a fence and the penny is dropping with him. He was too free over hurdles and I’d say the further he goes will be an advantage. . Hopefully we’ll keep him on the go for the summer. |
Cork Sat, 11th May, 2024 Maxi Mac Gold this (Maxi Mac Gold) is the horse I fancied more than my other rides today, as he is very very genuine and is such a good ride. I think cheekpieces might actually help him because he is a little lairy although I think it is through greeness. He rides like a classy type of horse and his winter form would put him far superior today. He is a very scopey, very nice horse who does everything well. He always raced behind the bridle and over two-miles it was a problem but over three it is a plus as he switches off really well. He's a horse you'd look forward to jumping a fence with. |
Wexford Thu, 25th Apr, 2024 Farfromnowhere She was recommended to us by Colin Bowe and won her point-to-point well, even though it was only a four runner race. . Jack ended up wide and she was still the best mare in the race, I thought. She did very well to win. . They went quick early on and then slowed right down and bunched up. It was tight coming down that hill and I thought she did well to win from where she was. . She lugged in that little bit but I don't think anyone had to stop riding that much, I thought the best mare still won the race. . We didn't want to pull her out, and have an excuse, on heavy ground. I'm not saying she won't handle it, she's out of a Jeremy mare and she could be very versatile. . She's a great mare to lep. We'll see what coming but we won't run her on too fast ground. We'll treat her like she's good until she proves us wrong. |
Wexford Thu, 25th Apr, 2024 Kiltealy Park She was a bit unlucky in Punchestown first time out when she made a mistake at the third last. It didn't work out a fantastic race and she didn't handle the ground at Clonmel, she was beaten after a circuit,. Today the better ground suited and they seemed to go a nice gallop the whole way. We'll keep her in for the summer. Sean said she was leery enough and tried to throw it away at the second last and last, she didn't do herself any favours. She's a maiden hurdle winner now anyway and she's going the right way. She'll jump a fence in time, she was placed in a couple of point-to-points for Colin Bowe. |
