After race at Punchestown Wed, 12th Oct, 2022 (1st)  Davy said he jumped like a buck from fence to fence. Fitness wise he is probably a little bit behind where he was last year and he’ll come on for it but it’s a nice start. He’ll head now to Down Royal probably along with Conflated. Gordon Elliott

After race at Leopardstown Tue, 28th Dec, 2021 (1st)  That's unbelievable. I had a tear in my eye for half the race, I'm not afraid to say it. We've had a tough year and it's brilliant. We started off having a bit of fun around Perth with him and he hasn't let us down the whole way. That's 12 races he's won now and he's a horse of a lifetime. He got into a lovely rhythm, he does that. He's a good horse and he stays like hell. He'll go straight to the Gold Cup now. I don't think he was much fitter today than he was in Down Royal but he got confidence out of that race. Jamie Codd gave him a beautiful ride, he hit the line well. I think the three-miles-two of the Gold Cup trip will suit him well. The way he stays if he can get into a rhythm anywhere at all, I wouldn't care if he was first or last going out on the last circuit, he'll come very strong in the Gold Cup. The horses have run out of their skin all week and to win that race is unbelievable. Ronnie Bartlett is a brilliant owner, a good friend and he's a gentleman. Russell is a great friend of mine, we've been friends since riding in point-to-points at 16 or 17-years-of-age. I'm very lucky to have Davy and Jack (Kennedy) at the moment. That meant a lot to Davy as well as he's very close to Ronnie. We don't let him ride for anyone else at the moment, he's too good to be giving to anyone else!' Gordon Elliott

After race at Punchestown Wed, 13th Oct, 2021 (1st)  I thought it was a good performance with the weight he had and we knew he was going to come on plenty from it. He was up against two race-fit horses. He’s in Down Royal and is a horse to look forward to for the season. It’s a race that could cut up and he looks like he’s entitled to take his chance in a Grade 1. We missed Listowel as we thought it was coming a bit too soon for him and he’s having a good blow after that race today. He only really does what he has to do but he’s a grand honest horse and this has been a lucky race (seventh win) for us. He might be more of a Grand National horse than a Gold Cup horse but he knows how to win. Gordon Elliott

After race at Limerick Thu, 26th Jul, 2018 (1st)  He is an honest horse and he has improved well from the last day. He's not a bad horse and we'll probably go jumping hurdles sooner rather than later as he'll be a chaser for next year. I don't know if he'll be a real winter, heavy ground horse but he's the type of horse we're going to have plenty fun with. Gordon Elliott

After race at Roscommon Tue, 10th Jul, 2018 (1st)  he's a grand horse and likes the ground and jumps very well. He likes nice ground and travels like a nice horse. He's a horse we might bring to Perth for a bumper because Ronnie (Bartlett) is obviously in Scotland, so we'll see what happens. Gordon Elliott
