Gordon Elliott ran two in the the Cummins Hardware INH Flat Race and it was the 16/1 chance Mars Harper that fared by far the best as, having been last early on, he travelled powerfully to get into contention and raced away in the straight to beat 6/4 favourite Bubbles In May by seven and a half lengths. After race at Galway Thu, 3rd Aug, 2023 (1st) 
This was probably the race I should have went for at the start of the week and while the other race looked like it was cutting up, Sharjah (winner) was still in it. He came out of Tuesday's race well, we fired him out in the field yesterday and he was bucking and squealing so we said we'd take our chance. He is a tough horse and ran to a good level over hurdles. There are a good few of Pioneer Racing down here for the festival and hopefully we might get another win with him.

Jordan (Gainford) gave him a fantastic ride, he saved plenty of ground going around the rail. They seemed to go hard up front and he stayed up the hill really well. He handles it quite well around here and handles soft ground. It's great for Pioneer Racing, they have had some good days and hopefully there is more to come. We'll enjoy today and see how he is after it.

He’s a nice horse. He didn’t have a whole lot done coming here so he was impressive enough. He came through them well. There’ll be plenty of improvement in him hopefully. He looks a nice type.
