The Stewards interviewed C.A. Landers, rider of De Benno, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages ofthis race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered theevidence the Stewards found C.A. Landers to be in breach of Regulations 10.3.(a) in that he used his whip in frontof the saddle in the forehand position, 10. 3 (f) in that he used his whip with excessive frequency and 10.4 in thathe failed to give his mount time to respond. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspendedC.A. Landers for 3 racedays.
