That’s Gavin’s first ride for me. He gave it a good ride and the horse jumped great for him. He’s good value for 7lb. . He could go for something like the Randox Health Ulster National at Downpatrick.

The Stewards requested a report from Gordon Elliott, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Gun Digger, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that he had no real explanation for the horse's return to form other than that the race fell apart a little and the rider is perhaps a bit of value for his claim
Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
