Gun Digger bounced back to form to land a nice pot in the TRI Equestrian Handicap Chase at Leopardstown.
Gordon Elliott 's charge just sneaked into the handicap proper after the withdrawal of top-weight Anibale Fly and was supported from 25/1 into 7/1.
Gavin Brouder produced his mount to take it up bypassing the second last and he beat off the challenge of fellow Gigginstown runner Mortal over the final fence.
The Stowaway gelding galloped on strongly to post a two-and-three-quarter length victory over Scoir Mear Poker Party the 13/8 favourite, plugged on to grab the third spot at the line.
Elliott said:- “That’s Gavin’s first ride for me. He gave it a good ride and the horse jumped great for him. He’s good value for 7lb.
“He could go for something like the Randox Health Ulster National at Downpatrick.”
