Wood Breizh (grey horse, Ruby Walsh) picks his way through rivals for a victory

Ruby Walsh's only ride of the day at Clonmel proved to be a winning one as Wood Breizh (8/1) came out on top after an exciting conclusion to the www.grahamnorris.com Memorial Handicap Hurdle.
It was difficult to believe these eight runners had travelled the majority of the three mile trip as they approached the second last with many still shaping as potential winners.
However it was the victorious grey that produced the needful from the back of the last to defeat Shantou Flyer by a length. Less than five lengths covered the first seven home.
"I was hoping the trip would work (going markedly further than in the past) but he got great help from the saddle," said winning trainer Willie Mullins.
"He had a hard enough time of it, he's been on the go a long time. That'll probably take a bit out of him so he'll have a break.
"I think that's the racing club's (Supreme Horse Racing) fiftieth winner." (TW & EM)
