Settle For Red just prevailed in a driving finish to the concluding seven-furlong handicap at Leopardstown this evening.
Killian Leonard bounced out in front on the eight-year-old but he had to surrender the lead to Tribal Path after three furlongs.
The David Marnane-trained gelding disputed again turning for home and was joined on both sides by Alcatraz and Prove The Point inside the final furlong.
The 10/1 shot stuck his head out in game fashion close home to secure a head victory over the later with Alcatraz three-parts further back.
It was an eighth career success for the Redback gelding, with his most recent victory coming at the same venue last June.
