- Hourigans good run continues
Hourigans good run continues
Michael Hourigan and Adrian Heskin who were sucessful at Sandown and Wetherby over the weekend were continuing their good run when False Economy took opening Point-To-Point Evening At Tipperary Maiden Hurdle at Tipperary this evening.
Promising five pound claimer Heskin sent his mount into the lead just before the last and quickened clear to score by a convincing seven lengths.
Winning trainer Hourigan said afterwards: "He'll probably make a Summer horse. He had some very nice runs during the Winter."
"I thought he'd win a bumper but he got hurt in Thurles one day, John Thomas [McNamara] said he went from travelling well to just stopping but he has repaid us today."
"He might run in a flat race in Clonmel next week, he didn't get a very hard race this evening."
