There are eight races on the flat at Leopardstown today where the going is described as Soft. There was no overnight rain and the forecast is for a dry and windy day today.
Action gets under way at 12.25pm. There are two Listed races on the card - the Knockaire Stakes in which Dermot Weld's Big Break is the hot favourite and the Eyrefield Stakes where Aidan O'Brien's unbeaten Mekong River is odds on.
The fixture, and indeed the Irish flat season, concludes with the €100,000 Movember Handicap at 4.10pm. Stony Grey and Truthwillsetufree are the two for early money in this big field.
Down in Cork the first of seven races is off at 1.10pm. It's jumping action there and the going is Soft, Yielding in places (after 5mm of rain overnight). The forecast is for scattered showers.
A Grade 3 novice hurdle, a Grade 3 novice chase and the Grade B Cork Grand National handicap chase (at 3.25) are the features. The clash between Courtncatcher Indevan Lots Of Memories and Old Kilcash in the Grade 3 novice hurdle should be well worth watching at 1.40pm.
