Flowering Peach made a winning handicap debut at Killarney today as the Aidan O'Brien trained daughter of Galileo landed the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap under jockey Wayne Lordan.
By top stallion Galileo and out of a half-sister to leading sire Medaglia D'Oro, Flowering Peach failed to make the grade at Listed and Group 3 level on her latest starts but today comfortably made all to beat runner-up Ciao by a length and a half.
Afterwards Lordan stated “she likes the trip, I got to make the running and she bowled away well and stayed at it well. She ran respectably in a Listed race the last day and was dropping back to a handicap today so hopefully she can step back up to Listed company in the future.”
