Core Element didn't go unbacked this morning but the 10/1 shot did the bookmakers on course at Dundalk a favour when landing the www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap. Hi Emperor went off a strongly-supported 7/4 favourite here and he never enjoyed much racing room in the straight. However he was ultimately a one-paced fourth.
Another one that sparked a bit of interest 'in the ring' Fastidious (on outing number one for Michael O'Callaghan, 12s into 8s) went close to landing that little gamble but Core Element 'bobbed' at the right time to be a nose in front at the line.
Core Element was ridden by Colin Keane for trainer Shane Buggy. (AM & EM)
