Wa Wa gained consecutive monthly wins for Irish Grand National winning trainer Dermot McLoughlin at Naas today, defying top weight to land the Cavan Developments Novice Handicap Chase.
The son of Yeats was a Killarney winner in October and today, again ridden by Bryan Cooper, made a winning handicap debut when denying runner-up Big Debates a hat-trick of his own.
McLoughlin later commented “obviously he stays well as the further he was going the better he was going.
“He’s a nice horse going forward and we thought that after Killarney.
“He liked the ground and when he warmed into it he jumped very well. We only have him about two months but he’s going the right way.”
