A young horse and he is a chaser in the making. Where we go next, we don't know. He probably won't go at Christmas time, we will try and see what is after Christmas for him. If there is something there at the Dublin Racing Festival, we will go there. He had the lightest weight in the race and is an improving horse. The bob of the head worked for us. Owing to the low trajectory of the sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for hurdle number three to be omitted from this race The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Oscars Brother, ridden by D. King, placed third, Backmersackme, ridden by Conor Clarke, placed second, and Flicker Of Hope (FR), ridden by A.P. Kelly, placed first, where it appeared there was very minor contact between Oscars Brother and Backmersackme. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined My Trump Card, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards that have run at least three times in hurdle races up to and including 24th November 2024 Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race or hurdle races after calculation of the handicap shall carry any penalty or penalties which may be allotted by the Handicapper.
