Roscommon Mon, 14th Oct, 2024  Hello Neighbour He's a nice horse, we're going to go hurdling with him now. I suppose the mile-and-a-quarter is probably his minimum and it was a small bit of a concern coming back from a mile-and-six (in Navan) but, with an ease in the ground, I thought it would balance the books a bit. Hopefully, he's a good horse.

Naas Sun, 13th Oct, 2024  Caught U Looking I was undecided whether to run her again as your always worried this time of the year after being on the go for a long time. She deserved that win and has never run a bad race all year. A lot of people were doubting that she would stay but Colin has been saying all along that not only does she stay but she wants further. I said to him going out to ride her whatever way you want. I’m delighted as she’s off now to the December Sale and that’s her last run. She’s a valuable enough commodity as a broodmare or as a racemare. I’m sure she’ll sell well and the best of luck to her. I’ll be sorry to see the back of her but that’s the way it goes, and we’ll have to get another one.

Navan Sat, 21st Sep, 2024  Hello Neighbour A nice horse. He has a great mind and I was very surprised that he was keen early, but look I suppose first run. He pulled for probably a mile and a-quarter in the race or more and still finished. He did well as he probably got there plenty soon enough and then he idled. It was a good performance. I expected him to run well, but you don't know when you are coming first time and horses in there with good ratings and they have experience. He could come back to a mile and a-half. It wasn't my intention to start him off over a mile and six, but I did want to start him off on a nice track. I probably would have preferred if it was a mile and a-half today, but there's not that many maidens at those distances. I'll talk to the owners and see where we go from here.

Punchestown Tue, 17th Sep, 2024  Keilah That was grand. She's a grand filly, she's very honest and tries hard. I felt a bit sorry for her the last day as she was just nabbed on the line in Navan. She tries every time. I thought he gave her a lovely ride there, a very patient ride. She quickened up and put it to bed quick. I'm delighted for the mare herself as she deserved that. We'll keep rolling while the ground is like that and see how we get on.
