Limerick Thu, 10th Apr, 2025  Flemens Intrest He came home in great form after winning the last day so we had nothing to lose coming here,. I was more concerned about the quick turnaround than the 10lb hike in the ratings as he is a strong horse, and it just worked out. . He'll get another few pounds for winning that and is probably 'maxed out' but we'll keep going during the summer once there is juice in the ground.

Limerick Tue, 1st Apr, 2025  Flemens Intrest He had a few problems along the way but this was worth waiting for. John Cotter (owner) bred the horse and in fairness to him, he has been loyal to the horse, so it is nice to get this return,. He won a point to point, he had a good run in a maiden hurdle so brought that back today: he had only one bad run. . I thought he'd be in the first four or five today but would come on from the run but happy days. We might run him here again next week or go to Ballinrobe. We tip away with point to pointers and a few for the track and do it for fun.

Clonmel Thu, 13th Feb, 2025  Ballybow To be honest if I was Sam, I’d have followed Ballygunner Castle instead of him following us, and pushed him along. They went no gallop though and it was a no-race, really so that's why he is riding them. They quickened over the last two, but the one thing I do like about our horse, from the second-last to the line - even after the last - he dropped his head and showed a good attitude. We’ll go for the Albert Bartlett now. I think the race could suit him, and he could have an each-way chance in a race like that, with a lead, coming at a few horses.

Leopardstown Sun, 2nd Feb, 2025  Ballyburn I never lost faith, Kempton was just a bit sharp for him and I suppose Kempton lit him up as well, so he was fairly lit today with Paul. I think he eventually got him settled and he was afraid to move on him then in case he took off again, so he didn’t do any racing until after the last and he did what he usually does – he just quickened up from the last home. He looks a decent horse and I loved what he did from the last to the line. Once Paul got to ask him, he flew. He’s bred to get three miles and it’s fascinating he was able to do what he did over two miles and everyone had him down as a two-miler, but looking at his page you’d have to think he wants a trip. I thought his jumping improved today, going that pace today over that trip it was going to be easier for him.

He eventually got him settled and was afraid to move on him then in case he took off again, so he didn’t do any racing until after the last. He did what he usually does, he quickened up from the last to home. He looks a decent sort. He’s bred to get three miles, so it was fascinating that he was able to do what he did over two miles.
