The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Heliers Bay, ridden by M.J
Bolger, placed sixth and Capel At Dawn, ridden by B. Browne, placed fifth, where it appeared that Heliers Bay got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M. J. Bolger stated that his mount was not taking him forward, he did not have to stop riding and the incident made no difference to his finishing position. B
Browne stated that he was aware that Mr. Bolger was on his inner and could see that his run was over. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other than to remind B. Browne to ride with more awareness in the future.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards mares only rated 80-102 Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 12st and the minimum weight shall not be less than 9st 12lbs Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each hurdle race won. Riders - Confined to Professional & Claiming Professional Riders who have not ridden more than 15 winners under any N.H. Rules from 3rd May, 2020 to 3rd June, 2021 inclusive.
