At the request of the Stewards, E. Walsh, rider of Awbeg Willow, trained by Paul O'Flynn, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was flat out early, on what he felt was quick ground and then stayed on
G.B. Noonan, rider of Nelliefern trained by Paul O'Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not jump great or come down the hill well before staying on one paced.
