The Raceday Stewards interviewed David Casey, Authorised Representative for W.P. Mullins, trainer of La Prima Donna (FR), concerning the conduct of their charge who refused to race. Having viewed a recording of the start and considering the animal's previous record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended La Prima Donna from running for 30 days in accordance with the provisions of Rule 14(iii)
P. Townend, rider of Power Of Pause, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly
B. Hayes, rider of La Prima Donna (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount refused to race
K. Callaghan, rider of Nikini, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't handle the ground.
