D.P. McDonogh, rider of Dartan (GB), trained by Matthew J. Smith, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the last furlong and a half
D. McMonagle, rider of Marvelosa, trained by Richard John O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't get a clear run in the straight, having reviewed the incident the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
The Raceday Stewards interviewed L.F. Roche, rider of Coventry, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he lost count of the number of times he used the whip and accepted he was in breach of the regulation with regard to frequency. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g) in that he used the whip with excessive frequency and having taken his record into account cautioned him on this occasion
