D.P. McDonogh, rider of Presto (GB) trained by Oliver McKiernan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel in running and was slightly hampered turning in. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer confirmed that Presto at blood at the nostrils post race
J.M. Sheridan, rider of Effernock Fizz trained by Miss Katy Brown, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung very badly
J.A. Powell, rider of Sevenna Star trained by Emmet Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel in running. The Irish Horseracing Veterinary Officer confirmed that Sevanna Star had blood at the nostrils post race.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards that have run three or more times under any Rules of Racing on or before 27th September, 2021, at least one of those runs having been over a distance of eleven furlongs or more on or after 1st September, 2020 (105 = 10st) Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 10st and the minimum weight shall not be less than 8st 6lbs Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
