It was the end of the season and I took a chance dropping him back to a mile thinking with it being an apprentice race they would go good and hard. He was on the ball in fairness to him. I told Annalise (Cullen) to try and get him on the front foot coming out as he's inclined to be a little bit slow away. He jumped and travelled really well. There was a race for him in Naas next weekend but he's probably not going to be qualified for that now. I think there is a 50-80 in Naas on the very last day of the season for him but he's also in the horses-in-training sale at Goffs a few days later and will probably go there. The lads have bought a yearling and are looking to move on and try to upgrade. I wouldn't like to see him go but the plan is to go to the sales. M C Grassick, trainer
