The Raceday Stewards informed W.P. Mullins, trainer of La Prima Donna, through his Authorised Representative that a repeat performance in the behaviour of his charge who refused to race, may render the animal liable to suspension in future
The Raceday Stewards interviewed S. Cleary-Farrell, rider of Space Tourist, concerning his use of the whip after the last hurdle where he appeared to use his whip despite being out on his own in front. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence the rider accepted that he had breached R10 and apologised for his actions
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that S
Cleary-Farrell was in breach of Regulation 10.3(c)(unnecessary use when race is clearly won) and having considered his record in this regard they cautioned him on this occasion.
