Thurles Thu, 6th Mar, 2025  Nowwhatdoyouthink He was really disappointing up until today and the last day he travelled like the winner until the third-last, but found nothing. He never made a noise, but we got his wind tidied up and it seems to have done an awfully good job on him. His three runs up until today were putrid, but his point-to-point form for Sam Curling was brilliant. He had form tying in with good horses and finished behind Romeo Coolio on his debut. Coming back in trip and, with the ground being so well watered, was a big help. Chasing is the way to go with him and he might now get a little break before coming back over fences during the summer, as he handles good ground.

Clonmel Thu, 27th Feb, 2025  Moudan It is lovely to follow up and we said we'd wait for this race as he handles that ground,. I wasn't enamoured with the two hurdles being taken out up the home straight, as jumping is his forte. He got it done though and while he got a lovely run around in front, company is good for him. I don't know how much more is in the locker but he is improving away. There is a rated beginners' chase back here in a month and we have half-an-eye on that. It is very good for the owner/breeder Pat McCormack who is a good supporter of mine and I'm delighted for him.

Limerick Tue, 28th Jan, 2025  Moudan He is a grand horse, has met a few nice types along the way and I know he is six, but has strengthened this year and has taken time. The form of his recent runs has worked out and today was his day. We'll have fun with him and I don't think the handicapper will punish us too much so we'll try and win another hurdle before going over fences. He is owned by his breeder Pat McCormack, who is local and very loyal to us. He also has Soldante with me and I'm thrilled for him.

Navan Sat, 18th Jan, 2025  Jacob's Ladder We were slow at the last and the leader had good form. He is a nice horse and he won a bumper (at Down Royal) well. He was disappointing obviously in the bumper at Punchestown. Jumping is going to be his game. He has gears and is a good honest horse. We will get him home and see where we are. We will try and find something small again for him.

Fairyhouse Thu, 16th Jan, 2025  Workinonadream two brothers Ivan and Thomas Sutton own her and they also bred her. They live about two miles over the road so this is fantastic. The mare has been running so consistently well and really deserved today. There was a maiden hurdle for horses rated 110 or less at Punchestown in a fortnight and I was so close to waiting for it as it was made for her with the mares allowance. However it was Gordon’s mare’s (Elliott, Swing Davis) first run in a hurdle and ours was battled-hardened so we gave it a go with Tiernan’s (Power Roche) 7lb claim. Her form from Limerick has worked out very well so she deserved to go and thank-God it worked. We might try and find a black-type mares handicap to see if we could sneak a little bit of placed black-type with her as the lads will probably breed from her.

Leopardstown Thu, 26th Dec, 2024  Green Splendour That was a very good performance, he's a nice type,. I'm very pleased, he looks a good staying type and I think he'll improve. We'll find a winners bumper for him. It looked a strong bumper and I'd imagine you'd have to look at coming back here for the DRF with him. He's a course and distance winner so we'll have a crack at that.

Leopardstown Thu, 26th Dec, 2024  Shraheen The race didn't exactly go to plan. He wasn't to be as handy as he was but his jumping over the first couple took him there and I suppose he had to commit him then after that,. He's a big horse and he's improving, he's certainly going the right direction. Being by Mount Nelson, they generally want a bit of nice ground but he's from a good family who have won in all sorts of ground. He looks like a nice horse, he's a lovely big chaser. We'll might have a go at another festival with him.

Tipperary Fri, 22nd Nov, 2024  Shraheen I suppose he went the scenic route but not getting penalised for Kilbeggan was a help as it turned out. He is a lovely big horse with a great attitude and a lovely way of going and jumps very well. You'd say he'll jump fences in time and is from a great family.
