The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Factual Fact (FR), ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, placed first, and Master Otis, ridden by Mr C. Mullins, placed second, where it appeared that Master Otis received interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. C. Mullins, stated that his mount received contact from his outside. Mr. J.L. Gleeson, stated that his mount ran green throughout and caused minor interference which he felt he corrected as soon as possible. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr. J.L. Gleeson was in breach of Rule 214(careless riding) and having considered his record in this regard they suspended them for 2 racedays

Professional Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (iii) (up to and including 14th March) may also ride in this race.
