The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately two furlongs from the finish involving Quar Shamar (GER), ridden by J.A. Heffernan, unplaced, and Ramiro, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, unplaced, where it appeared J.A. Heffernan may have struck Ramiro with his whip. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned
J.M. Sheridan stated that he wasn't aware of the incident and felt nothing. He further added that his mount is a hold up horse and he landed down beside Quar Shamar in a stride. J.A. Heffernan stated that he had intended to hit his own mount but was aware he did not connect as his whip got tangled. He further added that it was accidental
Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Facethepuckout, trained by M.D
O'Callaghan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
