See also » Murtaghs-fouryearold-Masters-Leopardstown-rivals I'm delighted with him, he's been consistent all year. Ben has a good record on him, he knows how to ride him. He's a horse that you have to let find his feet early and he comes home very strong in the second half of the race. He was happy with him there today and we'll see what the handicapper does. . I think his future will lie jumping. He's on the market and he should make a decent jumper. He's got a bit of size and scope and he handles that ground well. J P Murtagh, trainer
C.D. Hayes, rider of Livio Milo, trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got bumped turning in from the right

R.P. Whelan, rider of Saffronandblue, trained by Martin Brassil, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Saffronandblue, trained by Martin Brassil, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning into the home straight involving Livio Milo, ridden by C.D. Hayes, unplaced, Master Dunraven, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed first, and Harbour Gem, ridden by L.T
McAteer, unplaced, where it appeared the three horses came close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.D. Hayes stated that his mount was getting unbalanced and tiring when he felt pressure from his outside. B.M. Coen stated that his mount got unbalanced and overreacted the maneuver outwards. L.T. McAteer stated that his mount ducked in behind the horse in front of him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Gibbs Island (GB), ridden by G.F
Carroll, placed second, Master Dunraven, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed first, and Counterculture (GB), ridden by W.J. Lee, placed fifth, where it appeared Counterculture had to sit momentarily. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W.J. Lee stated that he was going backwards at the time when the horses on his outside moved slightly inwards, but stated they were both clear of him at the time. G.F. Carroll stated that Master Dunraven moved slightly in his path. B.M. Coen stated that his mount wandered around in the closing stages as reported at scales. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Bear Profit, ridden by D.S
O'Sullivan, placed third, Out On Friday, ridden by M.W Hassett, unplaced, and Gandolfo, ridden by C.T. Keane, unplaced, where it appeared Out On Friday clipped a heel. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M.W
Hassett stated that the headwind was very bad. He further added that his mount wasn't going anywhere and clipped a heel. C.T. Keane stated that horses quickened up on his outside and Bear Profit rolled towards the rail in front of him. D.S. O'Sullivan stated that as he went for the gap, a gust of wind came and he rolled around a small bit
Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found D.S. O'Sullivan was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (second offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for five racedays.
