The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tommy McJohn, trained by M.D
O'Callaghan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
S. Foley, rider of Kodilicious, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hit every ridge
D. McMonagle, rider of Last Encore, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged right off the bridle
The Raceday Stewards interviewed M. Crehan, rider of Snapdragon, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and stated his mount is an awkward ride. He further added he heard shouts from other riders and used his whip down the shoulder for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that M. Crehan was in breach of R.10.3(i)(time to respond) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for two racedays
