The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Emporio, ridden by J. Pietropaolo, placed fourth, Simply Sideways, ridden by M.W Hassett, unplaced, and Narmar, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed sixth, where it appeared an incident took place. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned in the presence of Mr. K. Whelan who accompanied J. Pietropaolo. M.W. Hassett stated that as Emporio and Narmar passed him he briefly ran short of room. G.F. Carroll stated that his mount was a difficult ride who carried his head high and as he passed Simply Sideways his mount shifted slightly right. J. Pietropaolo stated his mount did drift a little left under pressure but felt he was clear of Simply Sideways. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to advise J. Pietropaolo to ride with more awareness and also advised M.W. Hassett to give a more accurate account when giving evidence in future
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined No More Porter, trained by Adrian McGuinness, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
