The performance of Skipper (GB), which started favourite and finished seventh of eight runners, beaten 23½ lengths, was considered.
The explanation given by the representative of Tom Clover that the gelding was unsuited by the ground which was officially described as Soft, Heavy in places and would prefer less testing conditions, was noted.
The Veterinary Officer examined Skipper (GB) post-race and had nothing to report.
