J. Kearney, rider of Blacksmiths Forge, trained by Gerard Keane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost its action and was pulled up
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Blacksmiths Forge, trained by Gerard Keane, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race
S. Cleary-Farrell, rider of Poetic Focus, trained by Barry J. Fitzgerald, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly left in the closing stages
The Raceday Stewards informed C. O'Keeffe, trainer of Kilbarry Ce Ce, that a repeat performance in the behaviour of his charge who unseated the rider at the start and ran free when reunited with the rider before being withdrawn by order of the Raceday Stewards may render the animal liable to suspension in future
The Raceday Stewards considered the circumstances surrounding the cantering back of Whitewinewednesday ridden by G.B. Noonan following its withdrawn at the start by the Racecourse Veterinary Officer. The rider stated the his mount was cleared to ride back by the Veterinary Officer which was subsequently confirmed. Having considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
