The Stewards enquired into an incident turning into the home straight involving Sittingonthefence, ridden by R.A
Doyle, unplaced, Lili Von Shtupp, ridden by G.B. Noonan, unplaced and Pour The Wine, ridden by K.C. Sexton, unplaced, where it appeared Lili Von Shtupp clipped a heel. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence K.C. Sexton stated that he was riding on the inside when he received a bump. G.B. Noonan stated that his mount was running green, jinked and clipped a heel. R.A. Doyle stated that his mount was running green, rolled in a little on Lili Von Shtupp and he was unable to react quick enough to avoid causing a bit of interference. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference that was caused was accidental in nature and took no further action
R.A. Doyle, rider of Sittingonthefence trained by Stephen Gerard Carey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran green in this race.
