He split Galopin Des Champs and Fastorslow in last year’s John Durkan Chase, so has always had a high level of form. He probably missed his prime when he got injured after winning the Supreme, so it is great for him to win such a prestigious race as this today. I think he loved the ground and dropping back to a Grade Two helped as well. He is 11 now and maybe one for the Topham Chase – he doesn’t quite stay three miles and that intermediate trip suits.

Classic Getaway loves this track and this ground and Paul Townend felt Blood Destiny blew up on his first run this season, he thought he'd improve a lot for the race.

Limerick Sat, 28th Dec, 2024  Dancing Jeremy That is great to get one over Christmas and this is a massive one for us to win. This race was his plan the whole way along but we had hoped to get a run into him first so I was slightly worried being without a run today. He was in at Fairyhouse the last day over hurdles but I wasn't happy with how 'tight' the ground was so took him out. . He scraped in at the bottom of the weights today.

Leopardstown Fri, 27th Dec, 2024  Enniskerry It's brilliant to have it here. At Christmas and the Dublin Racing festival that's where arguably the racing is most competitive, and obviously at Punchestown in the spring,. I love having winners here and that horse is special because we've had him for seven or eight years. He's kind of the pet of the yard. He turns up everyday . He's won on the Flat, over hurdles and fences. He's an iron horse. We've been mixing and matching. He ran on the Flat during the summer and won early on, then he ended up running in the Cesarewitch and it just didn't happen for him. He was still well treated over hurdles and had a very good run in Fairyhouse that left him spot on for today. He needed a jump at the last and when he got that I think the momentum was always going to take him there.

Limerick Tue, 19th Nov, 2024  Jack Holiday He is a mighty horse and has won three this year. He tries really hard, is very honest and is a real character. I'm delighted for the McCarthys (owners) as they are from up the road so to have a winner in Limerick is magic. Tom hadn't ever ridden for me before but I had been watching him and all those that are riding today are great riders but don't get much of a chance. He has been banging in the winners and to have the 7lb claim is mighty.
