The Stewards interviewed S. O'Callaghan, rider of Favori Logique (FR), concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence S. O'Callaghan stated that he had lost count of the times he used his whip but accepted he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. O'Callaghan was in breach of Regulation 10 3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard, they suspended him for 3 racedays and instructed him to attend R.A.C.E for 1 day's tuition on the correct use of the whip
