The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Luxury Island, ridden by Adam Caffrey, unplaced, Rebecca's Girl, ridden by W. Joyce, unplaced, Aurora Nova, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed first, and Havana Notion (GB), ridden by H.J. Horgan, unplaced, where it appeared that Aurora Nova raced across the track. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Adam Caffrey stated that his mount was one paced in the closing stages, and was slightly hampered from his outside. W. Joyce stated that the winner moved quickly across him but was clear at the time and did not cause him any interference. H.J. Horgan stated that when he went through a gap, his mount started to weaken and spotted the winner crossing in front of him, who was clear at the time and his mount shied inwards causing slight interference to Luxury Island. G.F Carroll stated that his mount was a difficult ride throughout the race and on the way to the start. He further stated that his mount dived violently right despite his best efforts, however he was satisfied that he was clear of all horses at the time and did not cause interference to any horse. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action
