An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong when Mayfair Stroll (IRE), placed second, ridden by Jason Watson, interfered with Mackenzie Rose (IRE), unplaced, ridden by David Probert.
Watson was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he maneuvered his mount right- handed, when insufficiently clear, causing Probert to have to take a check.
Approximately 3 furlongs out, Mackenzie Rose (IRE), unplaced, quickly shifted left, before being corrected, bumping the quarters of Mayfair Stroll (IRE), placed second, causing the filly to become unbalanced for a few strides, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
