An Equine Welfare and Integrity Officer reported that a kit bag search of T Ellis, the trainer of Latenightpass (GB), revealed possession of an unopened box of Equipalazone, an anti-inflammatory.

Ellis and an Equine Welfare and Integrity Officer were interviewed.
The trainer's explanation that it was unopened and had not been used was noted.
Being satisfied that the gelding had received only normal food and water by mouth on the day of racing, the Stewards allowed Latenightpass (GB) to run but ordered the gelding to be routine tested.
A report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
Having reviewed recordings of the false start, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the bend just after crossing the winning line, going out onto the final circuit involving Dashing Perk (GB), which later fell, ridden by Mr Tommie M.
O'Brien, Demain Des L'aube (FR), unplaced, ridden by Mr William Easterby and Pont Aven (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Mr Alex Chadwick.
Mr Easterby was suspended for 5 days, on dates to be notified to him by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority, for careless riding as he manoeuvred left-handed towards the rail when not sufficiently clear, badly hampering Dashing Perk (GB) which in turn caused Mr Chadwick to take a significant check when tightened for room against the rail.
Following the race, Mr Sam Waley-Cohen reported that Jett (IRE), which was pulled up, was never travelling; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding, during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The Veterinary Officer also reported that Michael's Pick (IRE), unplaced, bled from the nose.
