I was certain I was the red cap so it was a pleasant surprise!. I'd say the loose horse coming towards him as well probably carried him on. The Stewards interviewed J.M. Moore, rider of Foxy Jacks, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that J. M. Moore was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered J. M. Moore's record in this regard the Stewards suspended J. M. Moore for two racedays
