The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr J.M. Halford, rider, in relation to him failing to follow a request from an official in the parade ring. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr J.M. Halford was in breach of Rule 13(ii) and having considered his record in this regard, the Raceday stewards fined him €100 on this occasion
C.P. McNamara, rider of Mount Ferns, trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount did not handle today's ground conditions.
