The going was quite heavy and not many counted in this mares only maiden hurdle.
INDIANACA was the game winner here and according to winning trainer Aidan Howard "INDIANACA is only small and won't carry big weights. She didn't have the 'toe' for the Flat and will go for a winners' hurdle next - hopefully the handicapper won't be too hard on her." She can win again over hurdles, and if reverted to the Flat, can also make use of a low enough mark of 58.
MULLICAGH LASS had not shown much in previous runs but showed much improved form here. The mare will have an obvious chance if reproducing this run in a similar race next.
AFASHEEN had reasonable form in bumpers and made an encouraging enough debut over hurdles. She is no star but can pay her way in handicaps.
RAGTIME LUCY ran as well as her previous two starts but wasn't good enough while point to point winner A RARE DIAMOND ran a fair race in fifth.
CUAN AN OIR was a little keen but found little when she came off the bridle while MUSICIENNE, rated 75 on the Flat in France, finished well back, after racing prominently, but may be worth following in future handicaps.
Non-Runners were Oar House (lame) and Shaimaa (ground).
