Another slog and DOVER STREET did well to keep up a strong gallop. The gelding raced behind front runner OSCAR'S EMERALD for much of the race and kept on gamely in the straight for his win. Winning trainer Finbarr Hand later reported "he got bumper around a bit last time out and the addition of a tongue strap was a big help. We'll keep him to low grade handicaps now." The winner should take plenty of beating from his Flat mark of just 42.
JAK DREAM is reliable enough in this grade and should win more races from a similar mark. He had no answer to the winner in the straight but does go well on testing ground.
JAMESY MCGUIRE had reasonable bumper form in the past and ran well last time out to earn him his 92 rating. He looks a future handicap winner.
LISABBEY LORD looks a certain future winner following a staying on fourth. LISABBEY LORD is a point to point winner and was bumper placed before three unispiring hurdle runs and looks attractively handicapped from his current mark.
TAKENDO was heavily backed, and although brought wide into the straight in search of better ground, never looked like winning while the backed SIX OF HEARTS dropped out of contention before the straight.
Stablemates YOUR RIGHT NOW and handicap debutante ONE MORE BOTTLE ran nice races without ever threatening while CHEDDAR ISLAND can win on better ground.
