He had no more to offer when headed by eventual winner Naujella Girl two from home, however.
The mare, who attracted some support (12/1 to 7/1), ran out a convincing winner - pulling clear before the last under Mark Watts. She was staying on when second at Downpatrick last time and looked to appreciate this step up in trip.
The Corby Glen appeared as a danger after making up ground from before the second last. He made good progress to second before the last but couldn't peg back the winner.
Coldwells moved closer three out but was one paced in fourth from the next.
The other joint favourite Winter Star was produced to challenge two out but soon had no more to offer and was eased when his chance had gone before the last.
Keeverfield made a solid start to his handicapping career. A dual winner in point-to-points he had failed to show much in three maidens. He made decent progress into fifth before two out and plugged on to take fourth.
