7.05 2m. 6-y-o15 Ran Ba Morley Memorial M´dn H´dle of €9,000.00 6-y-o
1st - €6,219.00, 2nd - €1,530.00, 3rd - €720.00, 4th - €450.00 15 Ran Karlu was the only one of these to attract any interest in the market in the morning and his
backers were on good terms with themselves from two out, as he easily went clear. He has
been consistent lately and his now Curragh-based trainer, John McConnell said, "he has been
called a few fancy names in the past but I told his owners he would win some day on the
bridle. We think there is a big handicap in him somewhere off a low weight."
Ballymahon was just behind the winner at Tramore and though the margin was more emphatic
this time, the New Frontier gelding continues to run creditably. Handicapping is surely his
future.
Razorlite can build on his hurdling bow whilst some of the others shouldn't be judged too
harshly on their displays over the easyfix hurdles on testing going.
