Razorlite kept on strongly in the closing stages to pull away for an impressive winning debut.

Trainer Lar Byrne had been worried about the gelding handling the testing conditions but he had no such problems.

Keith Cogley showed no signs of panic as he partnered his first winner, moving to the front over half a mile out and sending his mount clear from the two furlong pole.

Ifyoucouldseemenow had made a lot of the running until headed by the winner. She looked set to weaken when grabbed for second two furlongs out but stuck to her guns well.

Jessicas Pearl had tracked the leaders before moving closer half a mile out. She had moved into second two furlongs out but could make no impression on the winner and weakened in the final furlong.

Baily Rock was another to track the leaders. He was ridden along in a moderate fifth turning in but stayed on at the one pace.

Bishop's Lane ran a fair race. He was held up and moved into a moderate seventh before the turn. He kept at it down the straight and may improve for the outing.

The non-runners were Luke's Benefit and Whosaidso, both lame.
