The Liz Doyle trained and ridden RATING QUEEN was produced fit and well after a 12 months absence and, under a vigorous drive from her handler, made all and stayed on strongly inside the final quarter mile. A number of her rivals appeared to be going a lot better before the home turn but she stuck to her task well and could pay her way over two and a half miles plus over hurdles. It must be a worry though that this was only her second start at the age of seven.

PAY THE FERRYMAN looked a big threat early in the straight but she tended to drift right under pressure from over a furlong out. OSCAR LOOBY was backed as if defeat was out of the question but the 4/7 favourite, having loomed up to challenge inside the final half mile, quickly came under pressure and folded tamely.

CAREER MOVE ran with credit. Like the winner reappearing after a year lay-off, she raced wide and kept on into fourth. A test of stamina may also suit this lightly-raced seven-year-old.
