Permission was given for Party Rebel (IRE) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference crossing the line with a circuit to run involving Headora (GB), placed third, ridden by Richard Kingscote and Velocity (IRE), placed seventh, ridden by Saffie Osborne.
The interference was found to be accidental in that Headora (GB) had received pressure from a free running Go Oscar Go (IRE), placed eighth, on its inside at the same time that Velocity (IRE) had edged slightly left-handed, causing Kingscote to take a check.
Approximately 3 ½ furlongs out Headora (GB), placed third, lugged left-handed, momentarily causing Azets (GB), placed fourth, to be steadied when awkwardly placed between runners, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Headora (GB).
Entering the home straight, Romulan Prince (GB), placed fifth, shifted slightly right-handed causing Azets (GB), placed fourth, to be steadied when disappointed for a run, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The apparent improvement in form of the winner, Party Rebel (IRE), compared with its previous run at Chelmsford on 9 September 2021 where the filly finished eighth of twelve runners, beaten by 8 ¼ lengths was considered.
It was noted that the representative of Mark Johnston could offer no explanation for the performance of Party Rebel (IRE).
The filly was routine tested.
Following the race, Liam Jones reported that Hunters Step (GB), placed sixth, was slowly away and Cameron Noble reported that Azets (GB), placed fourth, suffered interference on the final bend.
