Permission was given for Accrington Stanley (GB) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately a furlong after the start involving Beryl Burton (GB), placed third, ridden by Faye McManoman and Accrington Stanley (GB), placed second, ridden by Luke Morris.
It was found that no interference had taken place in that as Accrington Stanley (GB) moved right-handed across the track, towards Beryl Burton (GB), McManoman took a pull in an attempt to restrain the filly and as Beryl Burton (GB) has a very light mouth, she overreacted to the correction, losing her balance and stumbling.
The Stewards were satisfied that there was always racing room for Beryl Burton (GB).
